API Documentation

The Ananse Market Data Cloud API serves end-of-day and intraday data for Ghana's capital markets — GSE equities and indices, Bank of Ghana FX and Treasury rates, and GSS macro indicators.

Base URL

Authentication

Every request needs an API key, passed as a Bearer token. Keys are issued from the hub under API Keys.

Requests without a valid key return 401 unauthorized. A key whose plan lacks the data class returns 403 plan_not_entitled.

Fetch the market snapshot — index level, breadth, and today's movers.

Response Format

Every successful response uses the same envelope: data holds the payload, meta carries provenance, and list endpoints add pagination.

Money is exact. Prices are integer minor units with a scale — divide by 10^scale to get the major value (above: 4320 / 10² = GHS 43.20). No floats, no rounding drift.

Errors

Errors return the matching HTTP status and a machine-readable code.

Rate Limits

Limits are per API key, per minute. Every response carries RateLimit-Limit, RateLimit-Remaining, and RateLimit-Reset, so you can back off before being throttled. Exceeding the limit returns 429 with Retry-After.
